This year's camp will be father’s day weekend June 15 – 17, 2012 at Blue Heron Scout Camp. This is a weekend camp for Beavers, their parents and Leaders. Lots of fun activities and camp fire.

The 34^th Annual Oakville Area Kub Kar Fun Day and Rally was held on March 3,2012 at Sheridan College.

Joining us were 142 Cubs equipped with their Kub Kars. Also along for the ride were 65 leaders and volunteers to bring the day together operating tracks for racing and fun events in the afternoon. Integrated Automotive was kind enough to help us out with the loan of pylons and flags for the day. Lydia and the Oakville area Scout Shop once again supplied us some of the prizes for the event. Thanks to Gerry for the hotwheel car prizes.

We were joined by the Halton MedVents to keep us safe in the event of an auto accident or a runaway drill! A Fun day was had by all!

Great work Cubs, we had some fast Kars and great designs.

On a sunny, not very snowy weekend in February, we held our Oakville Winter Beaveree. 47 Beavers along with Leaders and parents discovered all the fun Pioneer activities at the Milton Heritage Park. We started out with a wagon ride to our activities as we meandered through the farm. The Beavers made bird feeders, and homemade butter that they got to take home. They learned how to take care of the animals and how the pioneers lived. They learned of the hardships and how they dyed and spun their wool to make their cloths. They got to play in the hay and with the toys of their predecessors, a far cry from the video games today. Beavers experienced what it would be like to attend school a hundred years ago in a one room school house. They had the opportunity to have an outdoor campfire complete with skits and songs and cheers. They got to do snow creatures as part of their evening activities there wasn’t any snow outside so we brought it in and made some great friends. We watched a movie Friday and Saturday night, while we had our mug up and prepared for bed.

What a great experience to share with each other! Even the adults got to learn and have fun doing it.

Thank you to all the Leaders and Parents for your help, to MedVents for offering your services for the weekend. A big Thank you to the cooks for keeping us full and happy with all the yummy food. Each one of you helped to make this a successful camp.
